Solomon reminds us that wisdom is not just for daily decision-making—it is the very foundation upon which God created the universe. Understanding this truth deepens our trust in God and encourages us to align our lives with His divine order.

The Text
📖 Proverbs 3:19-20, EXB
19 The Lord ·made [laid the foundations of] the earth, ·using his wisdom [or with Wisdom; 8:22–31]. He set the ·sky [heavens] in place, using his ·understanding [competence].
20 With his knowledge, ·he made springs flow into rivers [the deeps burst open] and the clouds drop ·rain on the earth [dew].

19 The Lord by skilful and godly Wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding He has established the heavens.
20 By His knowledge the deeps were broken up, and the skies distill the dew.
Some Thoughts
Wisdom is the foundation of creation. The same wisdom God used to create and sustain the universe is available to us. If wisdom is powerful enough to set the heavens in place, imagine what it can do in our lives!
God’s wisdom brings order and stability. Just as wisdom established the earth and set the boundaries of the seas, it brings structure and clarity to our lives when we rely on it.
Wisdom sustains life. The morning dew that refreshes the earth reminds us that wisdom isn’t just about beginnings—it continues to provide, nourish, and sustain us daily.
A Few Questions To Ponder
Take a moment to reflect on today’s passage:
Do I trust that God’s wisdom is the foundation of my life, or do I lean on my own understanding?
In what areas of my life do I need to invite God’s wisdom to bring order and clarity?
How can I grow in my awareness of God’s wisdom sustaining me daily?
God’s wisdom always makes the difference, using these questions and the beauty of the creation around us, let’s find the wisdom that makes the difference.
Conclusion
The wisdom that created the universe is the same wisdom God offers to guide our lives. We step into a life of divine order, clarity, and provision when we align with His wisdom.
